SOLUTION: This power conversion apparatus is equipped with an insulating board 13 where a switching element 2 for performing power conversion by switching is mounted, a drive control circuit board 10 where a drive circuit 4 for driving the switching element 2 and a control circuit 5 for controlling this drive circuit 4 are mounted, a smoothing capacitor board 20 where a smoothing capacitor 8 for suppressing the voltage ripple of power to be supplied to the switching element 2 is mounted and which is arranged between the insulating board 13 and the drive control circuit board 10, and a conductor film which is made on a face opposite to the capacitor mounting face of the smoothing capacitor board 20 and has a number of protrusions made of solder spots 22.
