Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver with a simple configuration capable of receiving a desired wave with high accuracy and high reception sensitivity. SOLUTION: The receiver 1A extracts an intermediate frequency signal with a desired band from generated intermediate frequency signals and outputs a desired baseband signal. The receiver includes: an adjacent signal detection means for detecting the intermediate frequency signal adjacent to the desired band from the generated intermediate frequency signals; filters 7, 8 applying narrow band filtering for covering at least one side of the desired band to the intermediate frequency signals and wide band filtering for covering even part of both sides adjacent to the desired band; and a control means for allowing the filters to apply the narrow band filtering to the intermediate frequency signals when the adjacent signal detection means detects the intermediate frequency signals adjacent to the desired band and to apply the wide band filtering to the intermediate frequency signals when the adjacent signal detection means detects no intermediate frequency signals adjacent to the desired band.
