Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding coil component which is improved in DC superposition characteristics while restraining a leakage flux from increasing in intensity. SOLUTION: The winding coil component 1 comprises a winding 5 wound on a core 3 of a core member 2, and a magnetism-containing layer 11 is formed on the one peripheral side of the winding core 3 so as to cover a coil formed of a winding 5 wound on the core 3 through the intermediary of a space. The edges of the magnetism-containing layer 11 are connected to the ends of the core members 2 respectively through a non-magnetic layer 10. A magnetic flux produced by the coil constitutes a magnetic path that extends from the winding core 3; and returns to the winding core 3 passing through the one part of the non-magnetic layer 10 located at the one end of the core member 2, the magnetism-containing layer 11, and the other part of the non-magnetic layer 10 located at the other end of the core member 2 successively. The magnetic path is a closed magnetic path passing through the non-magnetic layer 10. Since the magnetic path is formed into a closed magnetic path, the winding coil component can be improved in DC superposition characteristics. Since the magnetism-containing layer 11 is provided in the direction in which a magnetic flux is liable to leak out from the non-magnetic layer 10, a leakage flux can be restrained from increasing in intensity.
