FLOATING WAVE DISSIPATING BANK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating wave dissipating bank, for reducing a reflected wave, without impairing wave dissipating performance. SOLUTION: This floating wave dissipating bank 11 has a box-shaped floating wave dissipating bank body 13 floating on a sea level 12, and a mooring chain 15 for mooring the floating wave dissipating bank body; and forms a calm water area in the rear of the floating wave dissipating bank body, by dissipating an incident wave 12a by the floating wave dissipating bank body. The floating wave dissipating bank body has a vertical surface 13a for reflecting the incident wave to the front side, and a horizontal plate 17 positioned under a water surface, by horizontally projecting forward more than this vertical surface. This horizontal plate is provided with a water feeding hole 17a for attenuating the reflected wave reflected by the vertical surface, by forming a vortex 12 at the back of the horizontal plate, by passing a part of the incident wave. The water feeding hole is desirably arranged in a base end part of the horizontal plate. The water feeding hole may be arranged in an inclined plate, a vertical plate or a rotary plate, instead of the horizontal plate.
