Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compound useful as a medicine having good stability in aqueous system and good stability in solid state. SOLUTION: The compound (excluding 5-[4-[2-(N-methyl-N-(2-pyridyl)amino)ethoxy]benzyl]thiazolidine-2,4-dione maleate) is represented by formula (I), wherein R1is a hydrogen atom or the like; A1may be 1 to 4 substituents that may exist as desired or is 2 substituents on the carbon atoms adjacent to each other that are combined with the linked carbon atoms to form a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; A2is a benzene ring having 1 to 3 substituents that may exist as desired; and M-is a counter ion.
