SIDE FLAP FOLDING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side flap folding device that is provided with a support means which supports a carton at the time of folding a rear side flap by using a push member, the rear side flap being continuously formed onto a side wall in the rear of an erected carton in the direction of travel while transported by a carton conveyor, thus permitting stable and sure folding of the rear side flap, even when folding, for example, at a right angle or more. SOLUTION: When putting the push member 6 in contact with the rear side flap 5 of the carton 1 from behind in the direction of travel to fold the flap, the carton being transported by the carton conveyor, a top section support member 12 constituted such that it can move up and down is adapted to contact and support the top section of the rear side wall 4 of the carton 1, and a front face support member 13 constituted so that it can move up and down is put in contact with and supports the front face in the direction of travel in the vicinity of the folding end of the rear side wall 4.
