SLIDABLE MULTI-LEAD WRITING UTENSIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slidable multi-lead writing utensil which allows visual discrimination as well as discrimination by operation touch of a writing element. SOLUTION: A plurality of writing elements are arranged with a coil spring urging the writing element in the barrel rear end direction in a barrel; a protuberance of a slidable member mounted on the rear end of each writing element is slidably housed in a state of protruding outwardly through a window formed integrally on the barrel rear end part or formed at an attachment member; and a securing part formed at the slidable member is secured to a part to be secured corresponding to the securing part of the slidable member which is formed in one piece with the barrel rear end part or formed at the attachment member by advancing the protuberance in the barrel tip direction and thus the tip part of the writing element is allowed to protrude from the barrel tip opening part. In this writing utensil, the operating distance for the protuberance to be operated from a state wherein the tip part of the writing element is merged to a state wherein the tip part protrudes, is differentiated depending on the writing element by differentiating the length of the part to be secured corresponding to the securing part of the slidable member from the barrel rear end by the writing element.
