Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the shortening of the service life of a bearing even in case that a flywheel is laid sideways, and to rotate the flywheel at a higher speed. SOLUTION: The front cover 22 of a casing 20 is provided with a front bearing unit 40, and the rear cover 23 is provided with a rear bearing unit 50 A rotor 70 is arranged within the casing 20, and the rotor 70 is supported horizontally by the bearing units 40 and 50. Both the bearing units 40 and 50 have slide bearings 43 and 53 bearing the shaft 72 of the rotor 70 and roller bearings 42 and 52 bearing the slide bearings 43 and 53.
