Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail transmission and reception terminal which informs the transmission side of a success of transmission and a state of the reception side and does not charge the reception side at such a time. SOLUTION: A mail transmission terminal can find the state of the reception side simultaneously with a success of mail transmission by receiving and displaying a message added to a response for acknowledgement from a main reception terminal. Since the mail reception terminal adds the response for acknowledgement to the message and transmits it, mail reply is possible though a reception terminal user does not have the terminal at hand for some reason, and the reception side is not charged because the destination is informed of its own state in a reception sequence.
