COLOR IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve freedom of a choice of paper so that a post card or cardboard can also be used as transfer paper in a color image forming apparatus, and also to achieve improvement in operability for processing transfer paper, miniaturization, etc. SOLUTION: The apparatus forms a color image in such a manner that a composited toner image is formed by repeatedly transferring a toner image formed on a photoreceptor belt 1 to an intermediate transfer belt 10, thereby superimposing the plurality of toner images one on another, and the composite toner image is transferred from the surface of the intermediate transfer belt 10 to transfer paper all at once. The intermediate transfer belt 10 is stretched at an angle between the rotating rollers 11 and 12 and transfers the toner image on the photoreceptor belt 1 to the lower part of the surface of the inclined belt. A paper feed cassette 17 is disposed in the lower part of the main body of the apparatus and a stacker is disposed in the upper part of the main body of the apparatus. A conveyance path from a conveyance roller 19, via a resist roller 50 and a transfer roller 14, to the fixing device 49 is inclined almost parallel to the intermediate transfer belt 10.
