Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake drum capable of obtaining a sufficient braking force from an initial phase without increase in a manufacturing process. SOLUTION: Since a coating film 52 made of an organic material is applied beforehand to an inner surface 48 of a rotary member 42, a friction coefficient between brake shoes 14 and 16 increases due to the coating film 52, and a sufficient braking force is generated even when a sliding area is relatively small. Thus, a parking brake of a drum in disk brake 10 using such a rotary member 42 does not require line sliding for increasing the sliding area, allowing a sufficient braking force from an initial phase without increasing a manufacturing process.
