MONITORING AND DIAGNOSING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect existence of abnormality by each detection means such as a thermometer, a pressure gage, a flow meter and a vibration meter installed on each part of an internal combustion engine and diagnose failure part and details of the failure by making synthetic judgment based on a type of abnormality when abnormality is found. SOLUTION: This system is provided with each sensor group 1-4 detecting temperature, pressure and the like attached to each detection part of the internal combustion engine 10, and an abnormality detection part 6 detecting abnormality when performance data provided by the each sensor 1a-4a deviate from a normal value range by comparing performance data provided by the each sensor 1a-4a and a normal value range of performance data established based on initial operation data at normal operation after the internal combustion engine 10 is installed. A failure diagnosis part 7 diagnoses the failure part and details of the failure of the internal combustion engine with using a diagnosis map corresponding each detection item by the abnormality detection part 6 and a failure name of each part of the internal combustion engine 10 based on detection result by the abnormality detection part 6.
