EXPANSION JOINT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion joint which enables a supporting material to use both as a stable support of a cover material 3 and a casing effect of a finishing material in common. SOLUTION: In this expansion joint, a reentrant angle part is composed of building skeletons 1 and 2a which are arranged with a space S; the supporting material 4 is fixed to one building frame 2a at the inner corner part; the cover material 3 for covering the space is supported by the supporting material 4; one end of the supporting material 4, which is fixed to the building skeleton 2a, is extended out in such a manner as to get away from the building skeleton; a casing 12, which is bent in parallel with the building skeleton, is formed from a leading end thereof; an engaging groove 41, which is to be turnably engaged with an engaging part 40 formed at the end of the cover material 3, is formed in a bent part; and an end of the finishing material 16 for covering a surface of the building skeleton is covered with the frame 12.
