Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an activated carbon capable of synthesizing the carbon in a short time and being remarkably energy saving as compared with a conventional manufacturing method in order to solve conventional problems such as bad heating efficiency. SOLUTION: The activated carbon having a high specific surface area of ≥2,500 m2/g is manufactured by using an organic material as a raw material and carbonizing the organic material by using a hybrid device utilizing microwave direct heating and indirect heating. The hybrid device is a hybrid vessel having strong-alkali resistance and microwave permeability. The indirect heating is performed by a gas heating method, an electrically heating method and/or a microwave heating method in which a microwave absorber is stuck around a reaction vessel. Carbonization and activation are performed continuously by the microwave hybrid heating combining the direct heating and the indirect heating only by the microwave heating. The carbonization and activation treatment are performed after infusibilizing treatment by immersing the organic material in an alkali aqueous solution and drying. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
