Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mold even a lens having a concave surface with high surface precision and high productivity by preventing the lens from biting into the convex-forming surface. SOLUTION: In this method, a process to heat a lens material 6 under pressure by molds 2 and 3 into a lens 7 of a desired shape and a process to separate the lens 7 from a first molding surface 3a of the mold 3 by generating a level difference allowing the first molding surface 3a to recede from a second molding surface 4a on account of the difference in the coefficient of linear thermal expansion between the first molding surface 3a and the second molding surface 4a for molding a part including the effective diametral range of the lens 7 and the outside part of the former part, in the molds 2 and 3, following the cooling process after molding, are provided.
