SOLUTION: There are provided a double-stranded polynucleotide and a polynucleotide exhibiting RNA interference effect on human telomerase reverse transcriptase gene, RNA and polynucleotide forming those, DNA in which the transcript exhibits the RNA interference effect, a vector containing the DNA, a telomerase reverse transcriptase gene inhibitor and a telomerase inhibitor each containing one or more substances thereof, a method for inhibiting a telomerase reverse enzyme comprising using one or more substances thereof and a method for inhibiting the telomerase; and a medicinal composition containing one or more substances thereof, a reagent kit composed of one or more substances thereof and a method for identifying the double-stranded RNA.
