RECORDING MEDIUM DRIVE UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a mechanism moving a holder in the discharge direction by manual operation when a holder cannot be moved from a loaded position by a motor. SOLUTION: A recording media drive unit 10 has a medium discharging mechanism 35 for manual operation constituted of a shaft 37 fixed to a cover, a medium discharging lever 39 supported rotatably by the shaft, and a torsion spring 41 energizing the medium discharging lever 39 counterclockwise. Thus the medium discharging mechanism 35 for manual operation has less number of parts and is constituted compact. The medium discharging lever 39 is arranged at the rear of a holder 56, and is provided in a gap formed between a top board 74a of the holder 56 reached to a reaching position by moving in the A direction and a cover. Therefore, the medium discharging lever 39 is usually positioned at a place where operation of the holder 56 moved by the holder driving mechanism 60 is not interfered. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
