Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize a suitable vehicle speed restriction device to regulate vehicle acceleration to a fixed value by using a sub throttle valve in a vehicle having an Otto cycle engine such as a CNG engine mounted thereon. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a main throttle valve 1 operated in response to accelerator operation, a means (not indicated) supplying fuel of quantity corresponding to intake air quantity to an upper stream of the main throttle, the sub throttle valve 2 for controlling air fuel mixture quantity sucked in the engine, and a means 3 controlling sub throttle opening to make actual vehicle speed not exceed a regulation speed. The means 3 controlling sub throttle opening is provided with a means 11 calculating base sub throttle opening based on the actual vehicle speed and main throttle opening, a means 12 performing feed back control of correction amount of sub throttle opening to converge deviation of the actual speed and the regulation speed to 0 based on the same, and a means 13 determining control amount of sub throttle opening based on base sub throttle opening and feed back correction amount.
