Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high temperature lubricating film having high temperature lubricity without using a solid lubricant having solid lubrication action which has been required separately from a hard film, having excellent oxidation resistance, and having high hardness and excellent wear resistance, and to provide a method having satisfactory productivity of a coated tool with the film. SOLUTION: In the high temperature lubricating film, high speed steel or cemented carbide is used as a base metal, and a hard film is formed on the surface of the base material by a physical vapor deposition method. The hard film has components expressed by (Ti1-u-v-wAluNivMw)(CxN1-x), wherein, M is a nitride forming element(s); and 0≤u≤0.75, 0.005≤v≤0.05, 0≤w≤0.3, and u+v+w
