SOLUTION: The method for producing a metal sintered compact provided with micropores comprises: a stage where the powder grains of first metal as the raw material for a metal sintered compact are coated with second metal having a melting point lower than the sintering temperature thereof to form coated first metal powder; a stage where a mixture of the coated first metal powder and a resin binder is injection-molded to the circumference of fiber having a diameter corresponding to the inside diameter of micropores and decomposed at the sintering temperature of the first metal or lower to form a partial green body; a stage where a mixture of the first metal powder which is not coated and a resin binder is injection-molded to the circumference of the partial green body to form the main green body; and a stage where the main green body is degreased, and is thereafter sintered.
