AGENT FOR PREVENTING AND AMELIORATING CHAPPED SKIN BY STRESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new safe agent for preventing and ameliorating chapped skin by stress, a cosmetic composition or a food and a beverage. SOLUTION: The agent for preventing and ameliorating chapped skin by stress, the cosmetic composition or the food and the beverage comprise one or more kinds selected from an extract of Pinus densiflora, an extract of Thujopsis dolabrata, an extract of Phellodendron amurense, an extract of Betula platyphylla, an extract of Aesculus hippocastanum, an extract of Tilia platyphyllos, an extract of Hamamelis virginiana L., and a water-soluble β-1,3-glucan derivative. The agent, the composition or the food and the beverage have preventing and ameliorating action on chapped skin by stress (especially preventing and ameliorating action on chapped skin by dense stress), ameliorate chapped skin, provide the skin with firmness and luster and accordingly are effective for preventing aging of the skin/scalp. The agent, the composition, the food and the beverage are safe for human and animal by internal use and external use and are applied to all forms of preparations (medicines, quasi medicines, cosmetics and foods).
