Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel dielectric material and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The dielectric material comprises barium titanate having an average particle size of ≥59 nm and 3,400. The amount of hydroxy groups in the lattice is within the detection limit of infrared absorption measurement or thermogravimetric analysis. The manufacturing method of the dielectric material comprises a first step wherein barium titanyl oxalate tetrahydrate is heated in air and a second step wherein a product obtained in the first step is heated under a reduced pressure. Alternatively, the manufacturing method of the dielectric material comprises a first step wherein barium titanyl oxalate tetrahydrate is heated in air and a second step wherein a product obtained in the first step is heated in air.
