SLIDING DOOR ASSEMBLY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door assembly having decreased protrusion margin of a frame furnished with a sliding door and a screen door and easily installable even to an extremely compact prefabricated house having a nearly triangular roof by front view and opening the sliding door by sliding the door in a manner to protrude the upper part of the sliding door toward a side of the roof. SOLUTION: The sliding door assembly 1 is composed of an upper U-shaped frame 7, an upper frame 19, a lower frame 9, a sliding door 15 and a screen door 17. The upper U-shaped frame 7 is composed of a lateral middle part 19a of an upper frame 19 and lower ends 21a, 23a of door stop frames 21, 23 and fixed to the outdoor side of the prefabricated house. The size of the upper frame 19 and the lower frame 9 is nearly three times the lateral size of the sliding door 15. A gap 10 is formed between the lower ends 21a, 23a of the right and left door stop frames and the lower frame 19, and the sliding door 15 is freely movable to the left side of an opening 5. The screen door 17 is movable to the right side of the opening 5 by sliding along the sliding rails 24, 26 of the sliding door 15. Airtight members 29, 35 are placed between the right and left stiles of the sliding door 15 and the screen door 17 and the vertical edges 11, 13 of the opening. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
