Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide flat wire segments which are connected electrically and mechanically with one another. SOLUTION: A flat wire assembly comprises a pair of long and narrow flat wire segments. Edges in the vertical direction of both segments are placed oppositely and a thin and flexible patch is arranged over them and they are connected with one another. The conductive trace on the bottom face of the patch is connected electrically to the conductive trace of each segment with a solder layer. The solder layer reflows under heat and pressure and extends over the edge of the patch, and thereby, the soldering joint of the patch and both segments can be easily confirmed visually. A layer of thermal activation or a pressure sensitive adhesive is arranged between the patch and each segment, and thereby, the patch and each segment are mechanically further jointed during the reflow of the solder. The vertically extended part of part the patch base body is adhered by with the adhesive layer to the portion of the segment far from the extension portion of the solder layer from the edge of the segment, and thereby it serves as a raised distortion relief.
