MASK STRUCTURE FOR COLOR CATHODE-RAY TUBE, AND COLOR CATHODE-RAY TUBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mask structure for color cathode-ray tube capable of reducing trouble in a phosphor screen production process by absorbing dispersion in the assembly process of a tension type mask structure, and capable of keeping the screen of a color cathode-ray tube in high quality. SOLUTION: This mask structure for color cathode-ray tube is so constituted that a color selection mask 2 of the tension type mask structure is formed so as to arrange multiple striated slits 12a and 12b on a metal thin plate in a stripe-like form and at a predetermined interval; each outermost striated slit 12 is provided with projection parts projecting inward from edge parts facing to each other through an opening thereof; and the opening area of each striated slit 12b in an second porous region 16b is set below 70% as much as that of each striated slit 12a in a first porous region 16a.
