Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader capable of surely preventing a platen glass from being soiled or scratched by the rubbing of a harness. SOLUTION: The harness 7 is extended to a front side from a controller 5, bent by 90° and extends to the right side of a housing 1. After the end of the harness 7 passes below a carriage 3, it curves upward to form a loop 7a, and extends to the left side to be connected to a CCD 33 mounted on the carriage 3. The base end of a telescope type rod 9 which can be freely elongated and contracted is attached to the carriage 3, and the leading end of a rod 9 is attached to the housing 1. The rod 9 is most contracted when the carriage 3 exists at an origin position, and is elongated as the carriage 3 reads an image and moves in a left direction. By making the loop 7a of the harness 7 abut on the rod 9, the harness 7 is prevented from coming into contact with the platen glass 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
