IMAGE DENSITY CONTROL METHOD AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image density control method by which a problem on filming in using acid paper as copying paper is solved without hindering the prevention of cost rise and the miniaturization of an electrophotographic device. SOLUTION: A sensor (T sensor) to monitor toner concentration in a developing unit and an optical sensor (P sensor) to read the adhesive amount of a pattern developed by the use of a specified potential difference on an OPC from reflected light quantity are used in the image density control method. A mode to cope with the acid paper is provided in modes selected by a user, and the correction of image density by the P sensor is not performed when the mode to cope with the acid paper is selected.
