Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission in which the torque transmission efficiency with respect to an output shaft and the space efficiency around the output shaft are improved in the automatic transmission arranging a friction engagement device for hydraulically engaging behind a planetary gear unit in a transmission mechanism. SOLUTION: In a transmission case 13, the rear end of an intermediate shaft 19 is interposed in a recess 31 formed in a front end of an output shaft 20, and the planetary gear unit G is arranged at the periphery of the intermediate shaft 19. A clutch C2 for hydraulically engaging is arranged at the position behind the planetary gear unit G and in front of the front end of the output shaft 20. Operating fluid is discharged from an apply oil passage 40 bored in the intermediate shaft 19 into a hydraulic chamber 27 of the clutch C2. Thereby the front end of the output shaft 20 can be reduced in diameter, and the clutch C2 can be arranged inside in the radial direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
