Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a can coating aqueous resin composition which excels in food sanitation and corrosion resistance as a can inner surface coating, reduces the amount of BPA eluted, excels in workability, and can be applied particularly to cap working after coating. SOLUTION: The aqueous resin composition is obtained by partially esterifying a mixture of an aromatic epoxy resin (A) and an end-modified aromatic epoxy resin (B) with a carboxy group-containing acrylic resin (C) in an organic solvent to obtain an acrylic-modified epoxy resin and neutralizing the acrylic-modified epoxy resin with a base to disperse the resulting product into an aqueous medium.
