Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deterioration detection device capable of further accurately determining deterioration of an oxygen concentration sensor provided in a downstream side of a catalyst for exhaust emission control. SOLUTION: A target equivalent ratio KCMD is set to a rich side predetermined value KOSO2H corresponding to an air-fuel ratio in a rich side of a theoretical air-fuel ratio over rich set time TRICH. Then the target equivalent ratio KCMD is changed to a lean side predetermined value KOSO2L corresponding to the air-fuel ratio in a lean side of the theoretical air-fuel ratio, and dead time TNR from the time t1 of change to the time t2 when output SVO2 of the oxygen concentration sensor reaches first predetermined voltage SVO2W is measured. Further, variation time TFS required for the output SVO2 of the oxygen concentration sensor to reach second predetermined voltage SVO2STP from the time t2 is measured. When the variation time TFS is larger than a determination threshold value TSVOH set according to the dead time TNR, it is determined that the oxygen concentration sensor 15 is deteriorated.
