SOLUTION: In the closing method for end part of a hollow rod 1 made of the pipy material 2 as a blank, a process for inserting the pay-off end (5A) of a wire 5 under winding state into the opening hole 4A at the end part 2A of the pipy material 2, a process for cutting off the projecting end from this opening hole 4A, in the wire 5A inserted into the opening hole 4A at the end part 2A of the pipy material 2 and a process for closing the opening hole 4A of this end part 2A by shrinking the diameter of the end part 2A of the pipy material 2 inserted with the wire 5A.
