Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stably preservable shredded cheese stably preservable at a room temperature, having favorable sensory characteristics, and presenting satisfactorily resolution-restricting properties, where browning is not substantially caused when melted. SOLUTION: The stably preservable shredded cheese comprises the combination of natural or processed cheese, powdery cheese, glycerin, and filler. A method for producing the stably preservable shredded cheese is provided. The shredded cheese is suitable for being combined to snack food (potato chips or the like) for sale preservable in a surrounding temperature, or put on the snack food for use, or used together with the snack food.
