Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable method for recovering nucleic acid from a nucleic acid containing specimen in high yield. SOLUTION: Nucleic acid is recovered by using a nucleic acid capturing chip containing a silica-containing solid phase as a nucleic acid capturing carrier. The generation of bubbles at the contact of a mixed solution containing nucleic acid with the nucleic acid capturing carrier is prevented by wetting the nucleic acid capturing carrier with a solution having defoaming action or substituting the air phase of the nucleic acid capturing carrier with the defoaming solution.
