ELECTRIC WIRE REPAIRING COVER AND ITS FIXING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wire repairing cover capable of fixing to not only an overhead distribution line having an outside diameter smaller than the inside diameter of the electric wire repairing cover but also to an overhead distribution line having an outside diameter approximate to the inside diameter of the electric wire repairing cover surely at all times and capable of being inserted into a PVC pipe even when it is fixed to the overhead distribution line, and to provide its fixing method. SOLUTION: On the inner surface side of the engaging members 4 and 6 of opposite side cover members 2 constituting electric wire repairing covers 1a and 1b, required ribs 11 and 12 are provided mutually opposedly to be fitted freely. A flexible protective ring 21 being fitted over the grasping piece 15 of an indirect live wire grasping tool 14 and holding it is protruding from the outer circumferential surface each of the opposite side cover members 2, and the cover is fixed while being fitted over the grasping piece 15 of the indirect live wire grasping tool 14 by means of the protective ring 21.
