TRUNK LID FINISHER, METHOD FOR ADJUSTING CLEARANCE OF TRUNK LID LOWER ENDS, AND BUMPER MOUNTING STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly secure a clearance between a bottom end of a trunk lid and a top face part of a bumper. SOLUTION: A trunk lid finisher 1 forming a predetermined clearance is temporarily held to a top face part 7 of a bumper 5 (b). This temporary holding is performed with flexure of a rib by integrally molding an elastic deformable rib on an inner face of the trunk lid finisher 1 with approximately U-shaped cross section. Under this temporal holding condition, the trunk lid 3 is closed, and the trunk lid finisher 1 is brought into contact with a spacer 41 arranged on the top face part 7 of the bumper 5, so as to form a predetermined clearance corresponding to plate thickness of a spacer 41 (c). Thereafter, under a condition that the trunk lid 3 is released, the trunk lid finisher 1 is fastened and fixed to the trunk lid 3 by a fastening tool (d). COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
