Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently manufacturing a cast coated paper for ink jet recording, which is properly suppressed in the occurrence of a cockling phenomenon and unevenness of image. SOLUTION: A coat-type inkjet recording paper wherein at least one ink receiving layer is provided on a substrate, is characterised in that the inkjet receiving layer is brought into pressure contact with the surface of a heated specular drum under a wet state so as to be specular-gloss-finished, and after a cast coated layer surface is peeled from the specular drum, water vapor is applied to a base paper surface within a retention time of 3 sec or shorter after the time when the paper is separated from the specular drum.
