SOLUTION: An inner tool (5) is pulled back from the working position (8) by a prescribed amount (x) of displacement in the opposite direction to the conveying direction (R) of a tube stock (3) when the starting part (6) of the tube stock (3) and/or the end part (7) of the tube stock (3) enter the region of a roll (4) and again advanced in the working position (8) after the starting part (6) of the tube stock (3) and/or the terminal end part (7) of the tube stock (3) is passed through the region of the roll (4).
