Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying device capable of smoothly discharging with increased drying efficiency while preventing waste from being clogged on the downstream side of a discharge port. SOLUTION: In this drying device, a device body having a receiving port at one end and a discharge port at the other end is disposed sideways so as to be rotated about the axis thereof. An agitating member is installed in the device body, and materials to be dried charged from the receiving port into the device body are dried by hot air led into the device body and discharged from the discharge port 22 through a discharge dam 6 while being agitated by the agitating member. The discharge dam 6 is formed of at least two dam members 61 installed apart a specified distance. The dam members 61 are formed so that the dam heights thereof are varied stepwise or continuously.
