Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for economically advantageously producing a decahydronaphthalen-2-one-based compound in a high yield. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the decahydronaphthalen-2-one-based compound by dehydrogenating a decahydronaphthalen-2-ol-based compound in the presence of at least one kind of a catalyst selected from the group consisting of a copper-based catalyst and a Raney-type catalyst in a liquid phase, the dehydrogenation reaction is carried out in the presence of an inert solvent while continuously or intermittently extracting evolved hydrogen.
