Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially advantageously producing a decahydronaphthalen-2-one-based compound in a high yield. SOLUTION: The method for producing the decahydronaphthalen-2-one-based compound represented by general formula (2) [R1is a hydrogen atom, a 1-12C alkyl group, a 1-12C alkyloxy group or a cyclohexy group which may contain a 1-12C alkyl group] comprises oxidizing a decahydronaphthalen-2-ol-based compound represented by general formula (1) (R1is as shown above) in the presence of an alkali metal halide and an organic peroxide in an organic solvent. Consequently, the oxidation reaction is carried out under a mild condition and the objective high-purity product is obtained in a high yield.
