Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively cool an exhaust gas in an exhaust gas boiler utilizing the exhaust gas in the exhaust gas boiler, in particular, a sulfide ore smelting furnace, in safety. SOLUTION: In the furnace 13 of the exhaust gas boiler 11, an exhaust gas cooling spray device 14 is mounted near a gas intake port 13a. The exhaust gas cooling spray device 14 is composed of a spray main body mounted in a state of at least partially placed in the furnace 13, a nozzle 22 mounted on a part positioned in the furnace 13, of the spray main body for misting the cooling liquid, a nozzle position adjusting unit 23 for adjusting a position of the nozzle 22 in the furnace 13, and a cooling liquid supply source 24 for supplying the cooling liquid to the nozzle 22 through the spray main body. The nozzle 22 is mounted on an end part positioned in the furnace 13, of the spray main body in a state that its misting direction is directed to a furnace central side at the downstream with respect to the nozzle 22 in the furnace 13.
