Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reed valve or a reed valve assembly having a structure endurable against excessive pressure even in a thin reed of the plate thickness, and having high follow-up performance. SOLUTION: This reed valve 20 has a plate-like support base board 21 for forming a valve hole 22 penetrating in the plate thickness direction in a central part, and the plate-like flexible reed 24 for covering the valve hole 22 on one surface of this support base board 21, and arranged by fixing longitudinal directional one end. The support base board 21 comprises a rib 27 for dividing the inside of the valve hole 22 into two spaces 22a and 22b by extending along the longitudinal directional center line in the valve hole 22. A surface opposed to the reed 24 in this rib 27 is positioned on the substantially same plane as a surface of the support base board 21 attached with the reed 24 or in the valve hole 22, and is constituted so as to approach the reed 24.
