WATER-REPELLENT AND OIL-REPELLENT BLOCK COPOLYMER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-repellent and oil-repellent block copolymer capable of forming a film surface excellent in water-repellent and oil-repellent properties and durability of a stainproof property and composed of a fluorine segment and a non-fluorine segment, a surface modifier containing the polymer as a main component and to provide a method for producing the water-repellent and oil-repellent block copolymer in which production of a homopolymer is slight and production of the copolymer is ready. SOLUTION: The water-repellent and oil-repellent block copolymer is composed of the fluorine segment and the non-fluorine segment and has 0° or ≤20° contact angle hysteresis based on measurement of a dynamic contact angle of the surface when forming a film and further, in the block copolymer, a ratio of a fluorine atom to an oxygen atom based on measurement by X ray photoelectron spectroscopy of the surface when forming a film is ≥1.0.
