SHIELDING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielding machine having a simple structure for excavating both a circular cross section and a deformed cross section. SOLUTION: This shielding machine 1 has a master shielding machine body 2 and a slave shielding machine body 3 insertable in the shaft direction of this master shielding machine body 2, and is constituted for sliding a cutter disc 4 arranged in front of the slave shielding machine body 3, having the substantially same shape as a cylinder body cross section of this slave shielding machine body 3, and having itself rotatable in a plane in parallel to a front face of the slave shielding machine body 3 so as to be substantially inscribed in the outer periphery of the master shielding machine body 2, and actually has, for example, a rail part 5 rotatable in a plane orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of a cylinder body of this slave shielding machine body 3 in front of the slave shielding machine body 3.
