COOLING SYSTEM FOR SIDE WALL OF BLAST FURNACE BOTTOM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system for efficiently cooling a locally temperature-risen region of a steel shell of a side wall on a furnace bottom of a blast furnace, at an inexpensive facility cost, when the local temperature rise has happened. SOLUTION: The cooling system for the side wall on the blast furnace bottom comprises a jacket type cooling body 1 having one side opened, jointing means 10 and 11 for firmly fixing the open side of the cooling body with the steel shell 17 of the side wall on the blast furnace bottom, a feed water pipe 5 for supplying cooling water into a gap 4 formed between the cooling body and the surface of the steel shell, and a drain pipe 6 for discharging the cooling water from inside the gap, wherein the cooling body is removable on an arbitrary position of the surface of the steel shell with the jointing means, and is installed at the temperature-risen part of the steel shell with the jointing means, when the surface temperature of the steel shell has locally risen.
