Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axle housing solving the problems found in the prior art axle housing manufacturing method such as a large number of manufacturing stages due to a large number of part items and a high manufacturing cost, showing a low manufacturing cost and having a high durability and reliability. SOLUTION: An axle housing 1 is constructed such that it is divided into a right axle pipe part 5, a central banjo-shaped part 7 and a left shaft pipe part 6. They are formed of a pipe member through a hydro-form and they are welded and connected to each other. With this arrangement, (1) the axle housing can be formed through a hydro-form without performing works such as an intermediate annealing or a swaging;(2) the number of component parts is reduced and the manufacturing cost is lowered; and (3) the number of welded parts is reduced and a high durability and reliability can be assured.
