OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM AND NEW CHEMICAL COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium which enables information recording/reproduction to be effected by laser and exhibits superb recording properties. SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium has a recording layer in which information is recorded by laser irradiation, formed on a substrate and the recording layer contains a coloring matter represented by formula (I) (wherein, A is an atomic group which forms a hetero ring together with a bonded carbon atom; B is an atomic group which forms a hetero ring or an aromatic ring together with a bonded carbon atom; L is -CO- or -SO2-; R1is a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group, a substituted or non-substituted aryl group or a substituted or non-substituted hetero ring group).
