RECORDING MEDIUM REPRODUCING/RECORDING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium reproducing/recording device, of which the normal loading operation can be carried out by allowing to automatically put the recording medium into a recessed part in a simple constitution even when the recording medium such as an optical disk is not normally placed in the recessed part of the tray. SOLUTION: This device is furnished with a casing 2, a tray 4 arranged movably over the inside and outside of the casing 2 while the recessed part 4a is formed on the upper side, whereon the recording medium D such as a CD is placed and stored, a tray driving means 12 for loading/unloading the recording medium D housed in the recessed part 4a with respect to the casing 2 by moving the tray 2 over the inside and outside of the casing 2, and a reproducing/recording means 10 arranged in the casing 2, capable of reading out and/or writing in the recording medium D carried into the casing 2 by the tray 4 and the tray driving means 12, and by the tray driving means 12, the tray 4 can be rocked at least once in the course of its movement from the outside of the casing 2 to the inside.
