PERFORMANCE CONTROL DEVICE AND ITS PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to follow the tempos of automatic performance to the tempos of player's performance so as to perform fine tempo following also to the swing of tempos especially caused by the climax of performance or the expressions of performance. SOLUTION: The note values or rhythms of respective notes played from notes freely played and inputted by a player are estimated and a tempo is selected. For instance, a reference tempo of default is calculated from pre-count outputted from the player before start of performance and the effective range of respective note values of notes is set by absolute time on the basis of the reference tempo. When a succeeding note is inputted and the note fits in either one of the ranges, the note value is decided on the basis of the value and the reference tempo is calculated. Then an effective range of each note value is set again and a succeeding input is waited. Reproducing processing is performed according to the reference tempo. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
