Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an option device identification method and device capable of quickly identifying an option device by simple constitution in the case of attaching the option device to a device body, instantaneously deals with an error generated in the option device and easily deals with the variation of the option device. SOLUTION: A pulse signal for identification is sent from a main control means of the body device to a sub-control means of a succeeding option device, the sub-control means of the succeeding option device sends a pulse signal obtained by adding prescribed identification information to the received pulse signal to its succeeding option device. The sub-control device of each option device receiving the pulse signal for identification detects the pulse signal for identification or the like and stores the identification information in a storage means.
